Common Machining Facility TREC-STEP has a Central workshop of 326.0 Sq. Mtrs, which is a common production facility available for budding entrepreneurs. The workshop has all general-purpose machines such as
required for production and tool development. This is accessible to entrepreneurs and so reduces the capital investment risk of new entrepreneurs. Machining job orders from nearby industries are also undertaken. Incubation / Nursery Sheds: Nursery sheds that house fledgling entrepreneurs of TREC-STEP have a unique architectural design enhancing the aesthetic appearance, illumination and ventilation and hence saving energy and also provide enough room for installing large machinery comfortably. There are at present a total of 15 nursery sheds. There are two types of Nursery sheds of 228.9 Sq.Mtrs. and 136.0 Sq.Mtrs. Information Support Facility Library TREC-STEP has an extensive library of over 2300 specialized books. These books are focused on information needs of entrepreneurs. Product finders, Manufacturer and supplier catalogues, Project Profiles, Market survey & Trends, Management Concepts & Tools, Technology books and IT kits are available for entrepreneurs in this library. Computer Network TREC-STEP has a good LAN computer network to provide computing, data processing and design requirements of entrepreneurs. Latest software and expert faculty are also available for on line help. TREC-STEP has established a City IT learning Centre in Trichy and Madurai in association with entrepreneurs.
