TREC-STEP rated as the Best Science Park is an organization dedicated to encourage the formation and growth of new genre of knowledge based industrial ventures of budding Science and Technology Professionals and to actively involve in transfer of technology and business skills to industries. After careful deliberations, considering the prevalent industrial and cultural situation in our society to bring a sharper focus to entrepreneurial development the Science and Technology Entrepreneurs Park concept was born. While the frame work of the worldwide Science Park is maintained, the focus had been more sharpened towards Entrepreneurship Development for our society which lacks the intensity of Entrepreneurship culture, prevalent in some of the more successful Western and Eastern counterparts.

	Entrepreneurship Development Programmes in S&T, Women, IT, Energy, Bio-Medics etc. TREC-STEP to promote young Entrepreneurs provides Entrepreneurship Development Programme in various areas like S & T, IT, Energy, Bio-Medics etc.. Duration of the programme will vary from 4 to 6 weeks depending upon the areas. This programme gives training in Achievement Motivation, Opportunity Guidance, Project Selection, Financial Management, Institutional Finance, Project Management, Production Management, Marketing Management & Personnel Management with an interaction session with successful entrepreneurs which could motivate the candidates to take up their ventures.
	Faculty Development Programme in Innovation TREC-STEP conducts Faculty Development Programmes for the faculty of Universities and Technical Educational Institutions in the area of Innovation and Entrepreneurship since the faculty play an important role in influencing the career options of their wards.

TREC-STEP mission is to encourage the formation and growth of knowledge based Industries. In line with this, TREC-STEP has promoted 156 new Industrial ventures in different fields. Some of these industries are innovative ventures promoted with active technical assistance from REC faculty. The conceptual expertise of REC faculty is realized as a commercial venture of a young budding Entrepreneur in many cases. These Synergistic efforts of the faculty and young entrepreneurs have resulted in creation of new wealth, employment opportunities for the society and many distinctive benefits for the industrial sector at large

TREC-STEP to promote young entrepreneurs provides Entrepreneurship Development Training, Nursery shed facilities during the gestation period, Central Common Machining facilities etc. The incubation process is explained below:

This process considerably reduces the initial investment commitments of the entrepreneurs thereby reducing the risk. The readymade availability of these mundane requirements of new ventures also motivates entrepreneurs to take up their new ventures enthusiastically. The availability of on-line consultancy from a team of management professionals to analyze various business propositions and to develop suitable business strategies provides budding entrepreneurs greater impetus. The core competencies of the parent institution R.E.C., Trichy constantly reinforces the technology requirements of the ventures, so it is no wonder that TREC-STEP has constantly registered higher success rate in generation of a new breed of entrepreneurs.
