The
unprecedented rise in
usage of new technology
appliances and gadgets
in Indian households has
created a great demand
for skilled maintenance
force. The aim of the
project is to generate
new employability skills
for the vast majority
of unemployed youth through
training in Modern Appliances
Maintenance services.
TREC-STEP
with the support from
UNDP and
DST has generated
a comprehensive training
curriculum in Modern Appliances
Maintenance. Now, TREC-STEP
is looking for promoting
Training Centers through
young Entrepreneurs, for
conducting these training
programmes on a commercial
basis, on a Public-Private
-Partnership-Project (PPP) in Skill Training, at Chennai
and Bangalore. TREC-STEP's
Business Model envisages
good returns for interested
Entrepreneurs willing
to invest. |

The
SKILLS Academy shall offer
short term, highly occupationally-driven
Diploma courses in Modern
Appliances Maintenance
(MAM) Trade, to be conducted
on a regular basis. TREC-STEP,
through the selected Entrepreneurs,
shall establish training
facilities / infrastructure Presently 4 Skills Academics are operating at Nungambakkam, Perumbut and Tambaram at Chennai One Centre is at R.V.Road in Bangalore
Interested entrepreneurs from unrepresented areas
may kindly express their
intent for participation
and submit their application
form for conducting the
following programmes:

a profit making training
initiative and a win-win
situation for the entrepreneur

• Ability to provide Prime commercial space (of at least 3000 sq. ft.). at unrepresented areas and sub-urbs Chennai/Bangalore sub-urbs, for a minimum of 2 years.
